Meet our husband-wife baking team.

Kevin Jones and Barbara Moriarty.

Kevin grew up in Manchester, England.  He studied pastry, confectionary and general baking at Salford College of Technology, from which he graduated with distinction.  He immigrated to the United States to work with his brother in law, Maurice LeDuc, a noted pastry chef and regular contributor to Julie Child’s television program.   After working for about four years with Maurice perfecting his baking skills, Kevin spent the next several decades working in hotels and bakeries before finding happiness at the end of the trail in Concord.  

Barbara grew up in New Jersey, moving to New Hampshire when she was 17.  Baking was a hobby that turned into a profession for her.  She met Kevin when he was her baking teacher at Newbury Junior College.  After that, they worked together at the Pillar House in Newton, and opened several bakeries together, including Maxins Patisserie in Newton, and Bakery on the Common in Natick.  After selling their businesses, Barbara worked as a pastry chef at the Radisson Hotel in Boston, andas the baker at Bedford Village Inn in New Hampshire before finally finding her baking home at Trail’s End Café.
